Black kind of worked, but it’s a bit boring. Unfortunately, I was finding it difficult to get a good color scheme figured out. Granted, it’s made out of wood, and therefor pretty heavy… but it’s still easily managed with a dolly.Īnyways, I decided to stain the entire booth a nice mahogany color. This is what makes the entire setup portable. The floor latches from the insides to the other 2 components and the roof gets bolted down with wing nuts. The computer component side, the seat, and the roof + floor. Dont get me wrong, those are just fine, but I want this in my house at some point, so I get the final say on the design □ My design isn’t the most space efficient, but I’d rather have it this way than a skinny kiosk-type booth. I wanted my booth to resemble what I’ve grown up to know as a photo booth. They had to have all that photo processing equipment in them. Why? Because that’s what the older photo booths looked like. I haven’t been following anybody else’s design or layout, but instead just going off of what I think of when I picture a classic photo booth. The front face has been routed out with beveled edges to give smooth, rounded corners for the camera, lights, and computer monitor. Here you will see the basic structure of the booth, which is plywood put around a 2×4 frame. Let’s skip ahead into the build by a couple weeks. Below, you can see how I started, and ended up building my booth, which has now been named the Best Shot Photobooth. I was planning on putting the booth into my game room after the wedding and using it with friends during parties and what-not… Apparently photo booths are also the latest craze in weddings right now, so I decided to make it good enough to rent to others to enjoy at their events. After looking for an inexpensive software that could do at least one of those requests, I found dslrBooth.Just like most of everybody else who builds a photo booth, I am making mine for a wedding… and just like them, it’s for my own wedding. I was asked to do 2 photobooth-type jobs & all the questions about "printing on the fly", "emailing", "social media" came up. I compared and tried all that I could find this is by far the best. It was the biggest hit at the wedding and we have about 200 prints to remember the wedding and all our friends. I don’t run a photo booth business I just set this up for my sister’s wedding with a friends DSLR and a NUC. No photographer needed hence save cost and time. All customer like it as this is like they are doing their own "wefie". I did it in our convention way, shoots and download images and process by photoshop for the layout and text.Īfter using dslrbooth, now I only mounted a camera onto a triport and link it to tv monitor and laptop and set up the printer that's it. I have been doing instant print or photo booth all these years. Thanks DSLRBooth for making this software easy to work with :) I installed this and within five minutes I had my openair photo booth running, my kids loved especially the green screen option, I highly recommend this software to drive your photo booth! People couldn't believe that it was a DIY job. Mostly how professional the software felt to use. There wasn't one time that i saw that the booth was empty. Had the photo booth set up for new years and it was most certainly The professional edition is definitely worth your purchase. Built 30 my own movie templates for an Oscar party. Green screen option in the program is fantastic! Really easy to build your own templates.
